Sometimes you feel that the subterranean areas within you are dark. You feel that hidden deep within you lies a malcontent who snipes at hearts, including your own, most especially your own. You feel you present yourself in one way to the world, belying the disrespect in your heart. When your presentation to the world is good, you fear that it is not real. You feel the deterrents to love within you are real. Sometimes you feel that only the ugly within you is real and the beautiful is not.
What you may see as the dark depths of you are not deep. The darkness you sometimes experience can exist only on a layer of the surface. It cannot go deep, because the depths within you are Light. Scratch beneath that surface discontent, and you will find gold. Annoyance, disgust, despair are all surface. Never consider that they are close to you. The negative is outer raiment, and you can peel it off like a decal.
The good thing is that you desire Reality. You want goodness and mercy, and you want to be good and merciful. You would love to dismiss negatives from your life. You do know they don't belong to you, any more than a hooded hat you would not choose to wear.
When you feel immersed in negativity, find the good even in the negativity. Certainly, negativity is not comfortable. But the uncomfortable points you in another direction, and so even the negative becomes a friend, one who is honest and sets you straight. But you do not have to keep this friend.
Beloveds, accept once and for all, that negativity is a bounder, a freeloader that attaches itself to you. You can walk away from it. You don't have to stay with it. Redesign your picture of yourself, and negativity will not adhere. Negative thoughts will fly away, for they cannot stay in an environment that rises above them.
Neutrality is above negativity. When you are neutral, you see things as they are. When you see things as they are — an event, a passing blip — you let them pass. An imperfection here and an imperfection there do not occupy your mind. Your mind can occupy itself with other things.
I do not tell you to manufacture positivity. I tell you to be neutral. You do not have to exclaim about beauty in order to disband negativity. Just don't embrace the negativity. It is only an interloper anyway.
When negativity encroaches on you, nod to it, and leave it. Know it as you know a minor cold. Attended to or not, a cold and negativity will go away. If negativity is going to go away anyway, why attend to it?
Negativity may seem huge to you, but it is minor. Do not give it more importance than its due. It actually is due nothing. You do not have to regard negativity so highly as you do. Negativity may swagger, but that does not make it important.
There are matters more important than negativity.
Now, here, in this Heavenletter, I have given credence to negativity as if it were important. Forgive Me. I wanted to make a point.
Now that the point is made, We can turn Our attention to the Heavens above. Look up at the night sky and catch the stars twinkling in utter joy. Even during the day, when the sun shines brightly and stars are not seen, they are nevertheless there, shining away. Everything is there. Everything is here.
I am here and you are here, and We belong. We are beautiful and true. Even in darkness, stars are shining. Even in darkness, you are Light.
