"The baby and you are now One."

When Berit directed my attention here again by posting a new comment today, I found Chuck's older post very stimulating.

Why are Heavenletters not simply "an uplifting note" from first to last? Would not an uplifting note be enough? Or would not "a positive direction" plus "an uplifting note" be all we could ever want? Well, obviously it's equally important to clearly name the status quo. I'm quite relieved, I must say, being a little worried sometimes that I might sound negative.

The most striking thing about this Heavenletter is even more of a shock for me today than it was when I first read it:

When the mind recognizes your moments of pure happiness, it is already creating an image of duality. The mind tells you: "The baby and you are now One." The mind can't seem to let go of the past. It reminds you over and over again of separateness, never letting go of it, so it even takes you away from your Unity. Your mind was trained that way. It trained you to think that way.

Now you see the sun…
Now you smell the roses…
Now you pet your cat…
Now you love…
Now you give…
Now you are listening to him…
Now you do your work…
Now you are not labeling your experience…
Now you are pure presence…
Now you don't think at all…
Now you know God.
