t's a paradox to me at times.
On the one hand, I know that "what other people think of me is none of my business."
Usually that is interpreted to apply when others disagree with me or take issue with what I say or do. I have a right (and indeed a responsibility toward others) to be true first of all to myself.
On the other hand, when others praise or approve what I say or do, I know I don't need their approval or praise, but I do like it.
How often do we say to another, 'Your unexpected gift or words of encouragement 'made my day.'"
