Self being uppermost –

Self being uppermost – isn't that the very definition of mind? Without self being uppermost, what calculations would there be? What fears? What second thoughts? What plans? What projects and productions? None. Mind wouldn't be needed any more, or perhaps we would keep it employed as heart's little helper. Yes, serving would very likely happen, but who would be doing it when I'm not uppermost in my mind? No one. Oneness. God. SELF.

Does this Heavenletter ask me to do something then? Am I to choose to serve and, through serving, to remove my little self (aka ego) from the position it has held? It doesn't feel like that. This would make serving just another project of the mind. But while reading, for the briefest moment there was a feeling as if I could simply be one of God's beloved animals who go about their lives unthinking, never making a project of anything. Since we humans have a mind that is able to imagine we fell out of Oneness, our "task" seems to entail a little more. Not to get rid of mind which, since it's there, cannot be just an error; but to make it as transparent and permeable as it did feel moments ago.

What a Teacher You are! You will lead me there again.
