Two steps in the right direction
This is a lovely Heavenletter, one of the best, but at first it seemed a little confusing, especially: “Life in the world is all about you at the same time it is not about you at all.” But then reading all the wonderful comments helped me to see a little more clearly. How can it be all about us and yet not about us?
How it is all about us: “You know by now that your concern is not what everyone else is doing or saying or giving or withholding but rather what you are doing and saying and giving.” This is clear, we are to drop the judgments we make about events and the action of others. As Jim points out, this is incredibly freeing, unloading a false sense of responsibility for what we can’t control anyway. God takes it the next step: “When this is the case, you will withhold nothing, for you graciously, gladly and effortlessly will give everything….” This is how it is not about us. We are to direct our thoughts in the better direction, away from ourselves and consider: “What if it is about Me? And what if it is about everyone else and not you?”
In this fantastic letter we are given two simple steps toward our rightful purpose. First, concern ourselves with our own actions and then direct our thoughts toward God Who will ensure our thoughts and actions bless the world. So simple…….so lovely……..feeling so privileged to be given these insights…..Chuck

Heavenletters are the most valuable “thing” available to us in the whole world today, and it seems crazy to me not to collect and preserve every jot and tittle.
