Yes, there are many of those dear old words that have been ravaged through overuse or dishonest, hypocritical use. I understand your disliking them, Emilia. But for the very same reasons they could be particularly dear to another, do you agree? They are very dear to me, I would like to salvage them (even though, of course, they will survive me anyway), loving their wrinkled beauty until some of their eternal youngness rubs off on me.
