The illusions of life on earth
I read this letter as a wonderful and masterful metaphor. Who we are in Truth is who we are standing on God’s Balcony of Love and Strength, yet we are also powerfully experiencing the illusions of life on earth. This expresses an understanding of the ephemeral relationship between illusion and Truth, an understanding that seems vital to our developing awareness.
In life, we tremble at the thought of what earthquakes and lightning strikes may do to us, but the message, here, is that these things can’t reach us. The pain and suffering of this world are not real since they have no lasting impact, they are not what we are here for. Love from other hearts and the beauty of the stars does reach us. This is what is permanent. This is why we are here, what we are here to experience.
On our balcony, we see also ourselves as standing on a very small patch of concrete, during a very small slice of infinity we call a moment in time. These perceptions are also undone by this letter. “You lean over the grate of this Balcony, and stars shine down on you, so it seems. In Reality, you are the stars shining. You see yourself wherever you look. And even where you don't look.” This may be the toughest awareness of all to achieve. While we see and feel a compelling sense of separateness and limitation as we go about our daily lives, we must come to know ouselves to be all that we see and know that everything is the Wholeness of our Creator’s Being expressed.

The letters from God are my first thought in the morning, my constant company during the day, my bread, my breath, my light and so much more. I read and read them again, I cry with them, I laugh with them, I keep expanding my vision. I have no words to thank you. God is teaching me to fly!
