Break boundaries.
A magic carpet – yes, that's what words can be. A magic carpet is still too earthbound. And the magic isn't really in the words. Words sometimes make me aware of a feeling of boundlessness within, a feeling that is always there, only somehow in cold storage because this physical and social self doesn't know how to extricate itself from all the restrictions and boundaries we have agreed upon and take for real now. Or are they real and boundlessness is illusion?
Well, it's no use to even discuss this. My heart will insist that nothing, absolutele nothing is impossible and that all, absolutely all boundaries are manmade. And my mind, afraid of bills and bruises (from attempts at flying) will simply refuse to leave its comfort zone. Until one day, hopefully, it doesn't. It's all right, dear mind, we have seen that the boundless is, in fact, frightening and makes us jerk back our hand as if from a hot stove. But wouldn't you like to learn touching hot stoves and impress our friends?
Thank God for poetic language to keep us longing for the boundless. Thank God for God who knows so well how to "get those juices flowing" as He likes to say.
Everyone has had enough of the mundane is true in one respect, but on the other hand, the mundane is wonderful as it promises so much more – the whole world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wildflower, as the poet sings. And how wonderful is this: The greatest-seeming exaggeration has more Truth than the most staggering fact.
How can words on a screen resonate so deeply? I always feel a little stupid when I want to say: "Yes, God, You are right." But that feeling stupid is what's really stupid. Resonance is between chords of the same tuning. That which hears is that which speaks.
