the demise of ice cream

  • Maybe your foundation is a tree that needs shaking, and now you will have greater access to the fruit.
  • What you call upheaval, upset, disturbance, aggravation may be the stirring of great new adventure.
  • What if what occurs is not adversity but rather a friendly shove?
  • Maybe it is time now for you – not to make the best of things – but to enjoy wherever you are, no matter what is occurring.
  • Who is to say that it is not time for you to move on? Who is to say that you do not have greater exploring to do?
  • You are a wave of the Ocean, and waves are happy being waves no matter where the tide takes them.
  • Attachment is the key word here. The life you were living had handcuffed you to it. Rather, you handcuffed yourself to it.
  • Things do not have to be arranged the way you prefer. Deep within you, there may be a different orchard for you to pick fruit in. You may think change has been foisted on you, yet you cannot say with certainty that you did not plan the unplanned.
  • Take the attitude that whatever is happening now, it is best, or, it is, at least, all right.

Yes, thinking about it, being all right with whatever is doesn't sound so bad. What was so important about having things my way? Why not have peace right away, why fight for it? Greater adventure. Greater exploring. Perhaps being at home everywhere. Objection isn't as natural as it is made out to be. It's one of the things I handcuff myself with and to.

And back to ice cream: What about being stirred back into the whole? Perhaps it's sweet.
