“Do not think I mean you are to have wealth of heart and yet lack in the world. Start from a full heart. Be looking out for advantage that you can give. That is the opportunity to look for. You are not a monkey who has to grab. You are a Human Being who has to give. You have to give, not because I say so, not for virtue -- you have to give because giving is a basic Human need. Happiness lies in giving, not taking, not having to have, but in having to give. The only reason you have to give is because that is where your happiness lies.
You may have convinced yourself otherwise, but you were kidding yourself. One of the things that makes you a Human Being is this ability to give and to recognize that you give the gift to yourself. There is no one else to give to. You cannot give without giving to yourself. In giving, you receive the most. You accept your own generosity of heart. You recognize Me within your heart. It is My generosity that you give. “
