Today’s message was so timely because it seems that time has speed up and no one takes the time to spell the roses anymore.
I have two brothers whose lists of “to do” never gets done and they are both tired and haggard all of the time. With no time for friends or family only work, work, work.
I too find myself guilty of this. It must be an inherited gene or something. But I catch myself when I feel overwhelmed or tired and say “time for a break”. Then it is time to turn my attention to the blue sky, the birds, a walk in the park or a meditation.
Most people in the states just work themselves to death with the thought that they are saving all of their time for enjoyment for when they retirement. The challenge is, will they be around to enjoy it or be sick and disabled from constantly overextending their natural abilities?
I believe God gave us this life to learn and evolve but also to enjoy ourselves as we are but an extension of God and God wants to enjoy himself through our eyes. So I say “go forth and enjoy life like it is your last day on Earth”.
