YOUNG AT HEART

My husband and I saw a heartwarming movie yesterday, called “Young at Heart”. It actually is a documentary of a ‘golden agers’ singing group. A singing group with very upbeat music. They are shown during their practice sessions, and during their performances. At times, some are highlighted individually. The beauty is getting to know and love them over time and participate in their joys, hopes, disappointments, strengths, humour………… You get to know their attitudes towards life and death, which are honestly expressed. The whole thing felt very genuine. At the end of the big concert, for the one that they prepared for seven months, it feels like standing up for ovation, like the audience in that theatre! A great admiration for Bob Cilman the music director of that group!

Right now, the movie is playing in theatres in USA and Canada. Here is the official site, where you can see the trailer and some other clips: http://www.foxsearchlight.com/youngatheart
