We want you here, and we very much want you to post and to respond to what other people post. May the high vibration we engender here reach far. So, of course, we refrain from criticism of any group or belief system, and we are not here to extol our own.

We would like to suggest a few guidelines:

There are topics that we ask you to refrain from posting here. (Keep reading, and you will come to all the important topics we would love you to talk about!) They may be very fine topics, and we're not objecting to them, just that this forum may not be the place for them.

Politics, for example. People tend to get emotional when politics are brought up. Please do not even mention political candidates. We know politics have a place in the world, and yet we simply don’t want heated debates here. There are plenty of other forums that welcome a good argument or discussion about politics. This forum just isn’t one of them!

Another topic to refrain from is religion. We have people from all faiths here. People naturally feel strongly about the religion of their choice, and we don't want anyone's feelings hurt here. Again, there are other forums that welcome discussions and comparisons regarding religions. Just not here. Use your best discretion.

And also the paranormal.

Naturally, words that someone might consider swearing or off-color don't belong here. When in doubt, don’t.

No jokes, please! No formal jokes, that is. By all means, keep your sense of humor.

Beware of promoting. We ask you not to promote your own or anyone’s product or website here or to in any way appear to be promoting. We ask that you refrain from explanations or descriptions of what your business or service offers. This is a site for spiritual expansion and not for doing business. Simply and discreetly include your URL under your name at the end of your posting without any explanation or description of what your site offers. Heavenreaders are savvy. If they want to visit your site or any site, they will. One URL, please. We're just not here to advertise anything, no matter how wonderful. We really do want everyone to succeed, but, you know, we all get plenty of advertising and promotions everywhere we turn. Don’t let promoting creep in here. Let this forum be a place where we are freed from the commercial world.

Along with this, no cross-posting your comments. Post your comment in one place only. All cross-postings will be removed

And here's a very delicate guideline:

As much as we value prayer and the value of prayer, we are not a prayer group. We ask you to please refrain from requesting us to pray for others, no matter how worthy the cause. We are so sorry for any personal or public heartbreak, but we ask you to post only uplifting and inspiring news on this forum. There are many wonderful prayer groups around. We care about you and we care about your welfare, and we want all good for you and everyone in the world, yet we are not a prayer group.

In line with this, the news and TV constantly remind us of illness, addictions, crime etc. Can we stay away from these issues here unless the story you have to tell is uplifting?
