Heavenletters are emailed everyday via a newsletter software program that is installed on a webserver. At around 3am (Buenos Aires time) every morning Heavenletters are sent out. The message for the day is compiled into a HTML formatted email and sent to subscribers.

How emails work

In order for the message to get into your email inbox, it has to travel through various other webservers and spam filters maintained by the people responsible for your email account. As you already know there are many emails that people receive without actually asking for the correspondence or information. When such messages/information are sent in bulk via email, without authorisation from the recipient, the message is refferred to as spam. From there we get spamming and spammers!

We go through extra measures to ensure that Heavenletters are emailed to only people who want to receive them. One of things we ask you to do is to click a confirmation link we send to you via email, after you subscribe. This prevents anyone from subscribing you without your permission.

Spam

Sometimes email administrators mistake Heavenletters for spam and prevent the message you subscribed to from entering your inbox. This may also result in you never receiving your confirmation link via email. If you come back to the website and try to resubscribe, the software program we use will not accept your email address because your email address is already in the database. It may even give you a rude message!

How to prevent this?

1. Check your spam box or junk mail folders for the confirmation link from Heavenletters.
2. Add www.heavenletters.org to your white lists
3. Contact your email administrators and ask them to add www.heavenletters.org to your white list

Stopped receiving your Heavenletters?

Our mail list software will try to send an email 5 times to an account until it is accepted. If the email is rejected 5 consecutive times, then our software will mark the account as "Permanently bounced" and not send anymore emails to that account.

Here's the possible reasons and solutions to fix

• You were away on holiday and your inbox got filled. When you returned, you realized that no more Heavenletters are coming through. To fix, contact us with your email address and we'll re-enable your account.
• You were receiving Heavenletters and all of a sudden it stopped. This is most probably due to change in your email service providers spam policy or filter settings. Check your junk mail or spam box. If it's not there, contact us.
