The owner is the one who serves the most. The owner of a business works long hours. He works extra hours while he gives his staff time off. The owner is the one who cares the most, and he thinks about his business all the time. In his caring, he is not thinking about himself and all his likes and dislikes. He is thinking of the service that is his to give, and so he serves.
There is a place in your heart reserved for Me. No matter who you are, there is that remarkable place in your heart reserved for Me. If you have longing in your heart, your longing is for Me. No matter what you believe you long for, your deepest longing is for Me.
You roam in life. It is like you flick the remote control. You glance at this, and you glance at that. At some point, you make a choice, at least for a while. .
Roaming isn’t quite the same as wandering. In roaming, you may not know what you are going to alight on, nor when, yet your roaming is purposeful. You are looking for something. In wandering, you are more aimless, less purposeful, more vague, less clear. You both roam and wander, beloveds. It is all right. You will find your way, or your way will find you.
How long you have searched for the love of your life! The lengths you have gone to! The time you have spent. All the effort, all the primping, all the book-reading, all the advice, all the attention you have put on finding a man or a woman who will sustain your heart forever. And some of you succeeded, and more of you did not.
Do you think I flatter you when I exclaim that you are My marvelous light? Do you think there is something I am looking to gain from you for Myself? Do you think I am looking for fans so that I may be fanned by large numbers? Do you think I ooh and ah over the numbers, as if you were the till at the end of the business day? Do you think I am looking for you to be an admirer, a devotee perhaps, or a toady? Do you think I need strokes from you, or some kind of daily pittance to appease Me? Do you think I want you to throw Me a few bones to escape My wrath?
